The New York Times - Tapping Into the Brain to Help a Paralyzed Man Speak
Pancho aka "Bravo1" has not been able to speak since 2003. Paralyzed following a car crash, Pancho is now able to speak via electrodes implanted in his brain thanks to a medical breakthrough by Dr. Eddie Chang, a neurosurgeon, and his research team at the University of California, San Francisco.
